Personalized Gifts for Teachers

Everytime Alyssa goes to next level, I always make it a point to give something to her teachers as a simple thank you note and as much as possible, I want the gifts personalized. It is for them to feel how thankful I am for all the times that they took good care of my daughter and for all the new things they taught her.

Making Thank You Cards

This was taken right after she arrived from school. I was really expecting that she’ll enjoy doing the cards, but…

There she goes… Zzzzzzzzz!!! Sleeping… waaah!!! Good thing I was able to make her write 3 Thanks You’s before she dozed off.It was hard! My hands are not crafty and so this is a milestone for me. ;)

Gifts for Teachers

Here’s the finished product. I also baked chocolate crinkles and Alyssa wrote a thank you note in each card.

Family Joy Ride

Our Daddy will be starting his driving lessons this month. Soon after he gets his license, next step is for us to get our first ever car. There are lots of brands and models that we are taking into consideration and one of the closest choices is the Toyota Camry. Reviews are positive, but if we will be given a wider options, we’re always open to it. Daddy also has to get himself aware of the auto repair, like how to check engine light and all the other safety musts.

As early as now, Daddy’s already looking for the prices of the car seats that his cheeky munchkin/s will be needing on their future car trips. We’re all very excited for all the joy rides of the whole family. :)

Nostalgia: My 2 Year Old

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video already, but I just don’t get tired watching it. This is one of my favorites because she sings whatever I ask her to sing and you can say how cute voice she has.

I so miss her when she was 2. That was the time when I can already communicate with her clearly as she can already talk. I was able to stop her from bottle feeding at that age as well by simply explaining that she’s already big enough for bottle and she agreed that same day – not going back to bottle feeding since then. She was potty trained at that age too. There are many memorable milestones she had at that age and I can’t help but try to recall them all now.

This is why we, parents always say, “Enjoy every moment, kids grow up so fast and we can’t get back to the days when they were still young.” In a matter of 2 weeks, Alyssa will be turning 5 and I can’t hold back the time. Little by little, she’s growing up to the person she needs to be and all I can do is watch her grow and be with her while she do.

It’s nostalgic, I know… For more different nostalgic stories, click the badge.

CC – I Was Out, He’s In Charge

Has there been any instance like this??? I can’t remember. But you know what, if ever there was or there will be, I have nothing to worry. I always tell hubby, “Dad, if I go first I’m sure you’ll get on in no time, but if you go ahead of me, then my life would be a disaster.” Why? Because hubby knows better than I do. He’s the organized and I am the stubborn. He always knows what to do, while I can’t even decide on my own. Even with the simplest things like, to buy or not to buy, to do this or not to do, to bring this or not at all. You know what I mean?

The only thing that I’m better at are cooking, ironing or maybe bathing Alyssa. But these I’m sure he can do well if he’s not got any choice. I am not the wonder mom who “does it all”. Hubby always helps me in cleaning the house, setting and cleaning the table, doing the grocery and even cooking. I can stay in front of my lappy the whole day without hearing any complaints from him. He doesn’t oblige me to do all the house chores everyday. I don’t even take care of the bills.

It’s sad to realize that I am not so much of a loss, but I guess it’s better so if ever I am taken earlier, it will not be so much of a burden to my family. Now what is this drama? I don’t know… This is just how I feel while I write this and it’s somehow an eye opener to me. I think I should be doing what a good full-time mom really does. Because if not, then I would not have anything to be proud of. I can’t be proud that my career as a full-time mom is harder than it seems, right?

So what am I saying here? It’s just that hubby can take over everything because he’s such a good man to know how to run our household. I’m so lucky to have such a hands-on partner in life. smile
