Bestfriends Forever
8th February, 2010
Alyssa and her Ate Marina only see each other once in two weeks or once a month, but no matter how long time separates them, they remain to be the best of friends. They just met when we arrived here in London. Marina was born and raised here with both Filipino parents too, but she doesn’t speak Filipino, though she understands. It is so nice for Alyssa to have a very loving and a real Ate indeed in her Ate Marina. Alyssa is 4, while Marina’s 10 and they still jive. I believe she will be a good sister to her future sibling because she can see how Marina is to her. Marina is indeed a very good sister as she always gives in to Alyssa and they never had a fight, yet. =)
Yesterday, we celebrated Jay’s (Marina’s Dad) birthday so they were able to bond again. As I look at them, I feel so happy that they are both growing up looking at each other.
Then, since the two kiddos still doesn’t want to part ways, we headed to the mall after the celebration. We were strolling around when we bumped into another pretty princess, Angelica, Daddy’s goddaughter. Good thing there’s a play area where they were able to jump, bump and slide.
Does this mean that there’ll be an addition to the friendship that the two older kiddos have created? Oh, how I wish. Precious times like these are what’s needed to make this friendship bloom. And we, parents, will make sure that they do.
