MM: Class 1 School Trip
Last Wednesday (16 March), the whole class 1 have their school trip at the Eltham Environmental Curriculum Centre, but too bad no parents are allowed to go.
I am really surprised on how kids here are being brought up so indepedently. Back home, I remembered having a chaperon until 6th grade during school trips and my dad and granny used to prepare so much food like a steel drum-full, as if we are going away for a week or so.
They were there from around 9:30am to 3:00pm so she brought her packed lunch with her. I wasn’t able to take a pic of her and her packed lunch before she left, but good thing she was still on the groovy mood and posed for mommy when she got back home. I prepared crab-stick teriyaki fried rice for her with green grapesm apple and apple juice, but she said she didn’t eat her apple because teacher brought some for the whole class as they have fruit time before lunch with hot chocolate.
She was so excited to tell mommy and daddy about what she have seen and done in their outing. She goes, “Mum, Dad, there were chickens, goats, and a lot of different animals. Look at my wellies, they were very muddy because we walked on the mud. You have to wash my gloves too because I touched something muddy. It was fun, but I fell asleep on the couch while travelling back to school and Ms. woke me up.” Oh, what a lovely day my cheeky munchkin had.
MM: Daddy Moments
Daddy and Alyssa are both photogenic, unfortunately I’m not. So most of the time I am the photographer and they are my models.
I just love capturing those precious daddy moments.
Share with us your kid’s daddy moments at Mommy Moments.
MM: Dear Papa
This week’s theme at Mommy Moments is about a letter written by our kids to their dads or our own letter we write/want to write to our own dads. Since Alyssa hasn’t written any letters to his dad yet and since I don’t write letters to my dad often, I’ll just share with you the message I want my father to know.
Dear Pa,
You’re such a great father to me. You always make me feel that I’m the most important person in your life. I pity my other siblings who failed to experience how great a father you are. If only they grew up with you, they will know how blessed they are to have such a kind and loving father any child could ever wish for.
I know I owe you so much that I haven’t let you feel the lightness of life just yet, but I promise you that little by little Mark and I will help each other for that to happen. We’ll give you everything for you to experience the life that you had during the times that you are still earning for the both of us.
Pa, I want to reassure you that I will never leave you. All the girls in your life may have left you, but I will always be the one and only girl who will stay with you no matter what. Hang in there, Pa. Always remember that you are loved by all of us. Those girls just don’t know what they are losing.
Thank you for being so cool and for treating me like we’re just friends. I can’t thank God enough for letting me be your daughter.
I love you so much, FAAAAATTTTHHHHEEEERRRR!!! (Imagine how I shout that…
)
Happy Father’s Day!!! *mwuah*
You’re one and only daughter,
Pot
